🔗 Share this article Unveiling a Unusual Steam Game Trial: Controlling a Piece of Feces in a Mission to Arrive at the Toilet Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and players have discovered numerous entertaining independent titles. However, one is particularly notable for its quirky concept. Called Unko Technica, this old-school styled platformer features a hero that is truly a piece of poop attempting to make its way to a commode. As a fun fact, "Unko" means "poop." The gameplay is straightforward: you only need a single jump button. In 150 challenges, battle boss fights and access a market to buy skins for your poop character. Execute your movements carefully, as a mistake forces starting over. Bounce off floating orbs to propel yourself upward, traverse crumbling platforms, and interact with switches to open hidden paths. Earn currency for buying challenging stages where things ramps up. Visually, the experience boasts neon stages and a killer music score. Its minimalist art of morphing geometric shapes could recall gamers of old favorites like Earthbound. While it's hard to name previous releases where you play as a dung character, gaming have long incorporated scatological themes. For example, in Death Stranding, players make grenades from character droppings. Titles such as Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved use feces as soil enrichment. Naturally, fecal references shows up a lot in Obsidian's role-playing game The Stick of Truth. Despite its humorous concept, Unko Technica has already received impressive awards, including taking top honors at a major publisher's GYAAR Studio in 2023. The demo is ready now on Steam, with the full game planned to launch on PC on November 19.
